For all Equity members there is a free groundbreaking support system for members dealing with mental health problems. This includes a new dedicated 24/7 mental health helpline, an individual assessment and up to six professional counselling sessions funded by the union available across the UK.

Intimacy On Set

It’s common practice to have a fight coordinator on set to plan a duel scene. An intimacy coordinator performs the same function – an expert working through a sex scene with the actors to make sure it feels natural and everyone is comfortable with it; it all comes down to safety and consent. These are the UK’s first-ever guidelines for the protection of artists involved in sex scenes on film, to help actors, directors and crew deal safely and comfortably with scenes including sexual content.
